Our Self Study (Humanitas) course is specially tailored from our  classroom course to benefit students that prefer to study on their own. This is also a great option if you are looking for more thorough and up to date preparation than UKCAT prep books. 

Our Self Study (Humanitas) Course includes:

UKCAT Strategy Book

The Kaplan UKCAT Strategy Book will follow along with your lessons so you can make notes as you go along. It will take you through each test section, the different question types, strategies and tips for test day.

New Future Doctors Channel

Free live streaming of extra UKCAT sessions and Medical School preparation guidance from a range of Kaplan experts, including practicing doctors, current medical students, and admissions guidance representatives. Over 20 hours of live instruction, also recorded for access whenever you want.

10 hours of recorded lesson videos

You will be provided with the recorded lesson videos of your course. These will help you to recap on anything you need to review, as you work through your practice materials.

Decision Making material

All students will receive a 1 hour recorded video lesson outlining this new section of the exam. We will guide you through the different question and the Kaplan methods and strategies designed to approach them, through worked examples and sample questions.

6 Practice Tests

You will have access to 6 online practice tests that will increase your familiarity with UKCAT exam questions and build your testing stamina. All our tests can be adapted to fit additional time required by students taking UKCATSEN.

500 Mastery Questions

You will receive 500 mastery practice questions. These will help you practice each of the Kaplan methods in an un-timed format, helping you work on your general understanding of the material, before you work on your timed practice.

30 Section Focused Quizzes Questions

Structure your practice with 30 quizzes: 6 quizzes for each assessed section of the UKCAT with over 700 questions. You will be able to sharpen your skills on specific test sections in order to improve your overall score.

Personalised reports

Instantly track your progress on your practice tests and quizzes, view your average pace, performance by question type and access detailed explanations for every question. Your home screen will provide your test statistics for instant retrieval.

2 Months' Access

You will have access to your online study materials for 2 months after your course has finished. This should give you more than enough time to work through the material before your test, although extensions are available if you would like additional access.

The first part of the course covers the basics of each test section. In each complete lesson we will:

About Humanitas

Humanitas Medical School

Humanitas University is the largest independent international Medical School in Italy, built within Humanitas Research Hospital, a centre that is renowned across Europe for its excellent standard of healthcare and advanced research.

The new Humanitas University Campus , located just a few steps away from the hospital, is made to host 1200 students coming from 31 countries worldwide. The Course

The Humanitas Medicine and Surgery degree course is a 6-year university programme , taught exclusively in English. From the first year, theoretical interdisciplinary modules are integrated with hands-on experience and simulation activities, with clerkships commencing in the 3rd year.

Humanitas University provide an excellent international faculty including Nobel Prize winners, 70 professors and more than 150 clinical tutors; doctors who closely follow our students during their clinical training in the hospital. This programme allows students to work as medical doctors in the EU and abroad.

Admissions & Scholarships

Non-European Students: the UKCAT Humanitas test is on March 27th, April 4th or 12th at 40 test centres worldwide. The deadline for registering is April 5th. If you already sat the UKCAT in 2017, there is no need to sit the test again, just send Humanitas your results. Scholarships worth up to €10,000 per year each are also reserved for non-European students.

How to apply

European students: take the IMAT test in September 2018 across Europe.

Requirements : 12 years of education; specific requirements apply to UK, US, IB and other diplomas .
